Complete package for dry cleaning of boiler fire tubes. Includes an air powered tube cleaner, flexible shafts, brushes and cleaning tools. Can be used for tubes with inner diameters between 45 and 90 millimetres.
Boiler firetube cleaning
The boiler firetube cleaning package is designed to remove various types of deposits from the firetubes of boiler installations. Due to the mechanical operation of the equipment, it is possible to perform both reactive and preventive cleanings. The equipment works completely dry, so no water is required to clean the tubes.
This package includes an air powered tube cleaning system (AWT-100 or AWT-100X). These machines are generally more powerful than electrical tube cleaners and can therefore (sometimes) achieve better cleaning results. Note that the air requirements are quite high to power the machines.
During operation, the firetubes will quickly become deposited with (for example) soot or scale. This layer of fouling on the tube wall has a negative effect on the heat transition and thus the efficiency of the installation. Just a small amount of scale and soot in tubes can drastically reduce boiler efficiency.
Applications
As soon as you step on the footswitch of the tube cleaner, the brush or cleaning tool will start to rotate. This creates friction in the tube, causing the deposits to come loose. The vacuum cleaner ensures that the loosened deposits are actually removed from the tubes. The boiler firetube cleaning package can be used for the removal of soft, medium and hard deposits. Below you will find the specifications of the package:
- For tubes with internal diameters between 45 and 90 millimetres.
- For tubes with a maximum length of 8 - 8,5 metres.
- Ideal for different types of fouling, from light deposits to clogged tubes.

We purchased the AWT-100X from Goodway Benelux to clean falling film evaporator tubes at one of our factories. After some initial testing we were able to clean the evaporator tubes ourselves easily and effectively. The equipment is powerful and allows us to remove (harder) fouling and/or blockages inside the tubes whenever necessary. After half a year, we have decided to purchase another AWT-100X system. This one will be used to clean our firetube boilers.

We urgently needed a complete package to clean the fire tubes of our boiler installation. We have chosen the AWT-100X device + accessories which were available the same day for pickup. The system is very powerful and easy to use. With the right accessories we have been able to get our tubes clean again. We are very satisfied with the device and accessories.

After cleaning our fire tubes with high-pressure water, a lot of deposits remained inside the tubes. That is why we have opted for a mechanical technique to remove the deposits by means of rotating brushes and tools. An employee of Goodway Benelux helped us during the delivery with an explanation and demonstration. An extra advantage is that we will use less fuel to produce the same heat. The more deposits inside the tubes, the more energy it takes to make steam. We are satisfied.
